Testonica CEO gave a talk today for CERN's High-Level Delegation visiting Estonia May 22-24 with the purpose to evaluate the country's readiness to fulfill the full membership criteria. Artur Jutman reviewed a few FPGA development projects Testonica`s team delivered to CERN since 2013 and shared long-term collaboration experience and lessons learned.
The CERN delegation included Charlotte Warakaulle, Director for International Relations, Joachim Mnich, Director for Research and Computing, Emmanuel Tsesmelis, Principal Physicist and other high-rank representatives.
Testonica was one of nine companies (ECCOM OÜ, CGI Eesti, MDC Max Daetwyler Eesti AS, Artec Design OÜ, Interconnect Product Assembly AS, Insero OÜ, Nortal, Neo Performance Materials) invited to give short introductions, whereas Estonia was represented by approximately twenty companies from different industrial sectors.
One of the projects that Testonica delivered to CERN was a full-stack development of a custom FPGA-based BERT - Bit-Error Rate Test Equipment for high-throughput data links at CMS experiment. Using our off-the shelf Quick Instruments technology as the base layer, Testonica has delivered the user frontend software, hardware drivers, FPGA firmware and PCB design tailored by engineers according to CMS specifications.
Testonica thanks Estonian Business and Innovation Agency for this great opportunity to participate in matchmaking and networking event.
